This is an excellent Cretaceous fossil fish plate from Lebanon. It is a plate with two large fish, Sedenhorstia sp., preserved. Due to political unrest, fossils from this site are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The larger Sedenhorstia is very well preserved and exhibits great detail. The head, fins, and tail of the fish are clearly defined. The other fish, too, is nicely showcased. The fossils have great color are naturally spaced on the rectangular plate of sublithographic limestone. This is an extremely displayable double example of this predatory fossil fish from the Middle East.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
