This is a great fossil association plate. There is a complete Armigatus brevissimus (Fish) and three complete Carpopenaeus callirostris (Shrimp) preserved on the plate. Political unrest in Lebanon has made fossil collecting difficult, and very few nice specimens have been found in the past few years. This fossil fish has excellent detail - the fins and tail are beautifully preserved. The rest of the fish is also nicely detailed. The Armigatus is well showcased on the rounded matrix plate that also contains three fossil shrimp - what a wonderful display piece. This is a very exciting find, and one of the more unique association fossils we have had from Lebanon.
